Warren Stanton Summay, 87, Trigg Street, Millersburg, died on Friday May 13, 2011 at Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. Stanton was a devoted husband for 64 years to Geraldine O'Banion Summay who predeceased him in 2007. Stanton was born November 8, 1923 in Montgomery County, son of the late Landen and Mamie Shelton Summay and met and married Geraldine in 1942. They eventually settled in Millersburg, where he owned Millersburg Market for 37 years and served as a deacon of the Millersburg Baptist Church for almost 50 years. Stanton was a loving father, a doting grandfather and great grandfather, and an active citizen of the community having served as president of the Millersburg Rotary Club, city councilman and member of the board of directors for Kentucky Food Stores. Above all, Stanton was a loyal servant to Jesus, his Lord and Savior. He is survived by a daughter, Lee Anne (Robert) Boswell, Florence; a son, Stanton Dean Summay, Millersburg; four grandchildren Deren Lee (Adam) Worrell, Fort Worth TX, Anne Derrick (Nicholas) Kemphaus, Union, Paul Robert "Robby" Boswell III, Lexington, Barrett Landon Boswell, Florence; two great-grandchildren, Lydia Anne Kemphaus, Union, Ian Douglas Worrell, Fort Worth TX; and a sister, Hazel Quillen Blair, Whitesburg. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, at Millersburg Baptist Church by Rev Dale Gatewood with interment in the Millersburg Cemetery. Robby Boswell, Barrett Boswell, Adam Worrell, Nick Kemphaus, Bill Harney, Si Cleaver, and Jim Wagoner, and Patrick McKnight will serve as casket bearers. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Paris. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Millersburg Baptist Church, P.O. Box 426, Millersburg, KY 40348.
