William Kelly "Bill" Beatty Jr., 58, Redmond Road, retired television service technician for Rabon TV, husband of Sabrina Howard Beatty, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 at UK Medical Center. He was born January 1, 1953 in Paris, son of Hazel Hartman Beatty, Paris, and the late William Kelly Beatty. His favorite past times were fishing, restoring old cars, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved animals and had a special pet, Daisy Mae. Bill served as Troop Leader for Boy Scout Troop 63 for many years. In addition to his wife and mother, Bill is also survived by two sons, Anthony Neal (Charla) Beatty, Paris, Adam Kent (Gena) Beatty, Mt. Sterling; a daughter, Jaclyn Kelly Beatty (Brent) Georgetown; four grandchildren, Allyson Thompson, Austin Beatty, Landon Thompson, Ryan Beatty; his mother-in-law, Judy Howard; a son-in-law, Josh Thompson; uncle, Rufus (Lori) Hartman; aunts, Beulah (Jim) Greene, Geneva Hartman, Lisa Wayman and John, Elaina (Eric) Hogsten; special friends, Frank (Karen) McMullen, Bill Land, Rick Mattox; nephews, Chris (Brenda) Roe and Cody, David Roe, Tristin Brown; nieces, Heather Roe, Samantha Sutton, Whitney Sutton, Hannah Hogsten, Melinda Neace, Paula Neace, Megan Neace; and great nieces and nephews, Jonathan Hogsten, Keagan Brown, and Kayleigh Tubbs. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Kenny Roe; and his father-in-law, Fred Howard. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Jeff Bell. Honorary bearers will be Frank McMullen, Dr. C. Ray Young, Wayne Rabon, Mike Christopher, Rick Mattox, Carla Denney, Bill Land, Marty Spegal, and Eric Hogsten. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
