William H. Hedges, 86, Pinecrest Drive, retired Bourbon Lumber Company carpenter, U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II, died Friday, January 19, 2007 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born September 25, 1920 in Nicholas County, son of the late William Henry and Ada Lee Conyers Hedges. Mr. Hedges is survived by a grandson, Tracy (Marsha) Hunley, Cynthiana; two sisters, Norma Jean Puckett, West Liberty, Catherine (Harry) Craig, Paris; a great granddaughter, Christina Lee Hunley, Cynthiana; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Harvey, Leslie, Bernard, and Charles Hedges. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Mary Purcell with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Harry Craig, Gary Hedges, Roger Caswell, John Bates, Donnie Puckett, and Tracy Hunely. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.
