William R. "Bill" Miller, 98, a retired contractor and developer, U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, widower of Mary Williams Miller, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center. He was born May 30, 1917 in Harrison County, son of the late William T. and Martha Garrison Miller. Bill was a graduate of Clark County High School and was a member of Cynthiana Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He is survived by three grandchildren, Mary (Jim) Miller-Boyd, Steve Miller, Gary L. (Lucy) Miller II; eight great grandchildren, Ashlee Skillern, Kile Miller, Olivia Miller, Kurtis Miller, Annalee Miller, William Charles Miller, Crystal Miller, Maygon Miller; and six great, great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor June Miller; and a grandson, Michael Miller. Funeral services will be 12 noon Friday, October 2, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Dr. Larry Bishop with burial in Paris Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Friday. Memorials suggested to Thomson-Hood Veterans Center Program Fund, 100 Veterans Drive, Wilmore, KY 40390.
