William Luigart "Bill" Spears, 52, co-owner of Woodford Spears and Sons, husband of Dortha Dobbs "Dottie" Spears, died Thursday, August 20, 2015 at his home. He was born September 4, 1962 in Paris, son of the late Charles Stephens and Judith Luigart Spears. Bill was a graduate of Bourbon County High School, attended Tulane University, and received his Bachelor's Degree from University of Kentucky. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Spears (Steven) Hellman, Ocala, Florida; and three brothers, Charles Stephens "Steve" (Leslie) Spears III, Paris, Edward Woodford (Kathy) Spears, Paris, and Michael Joseph (Natalie) Spears, Cambridge, Maryland. A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, at First Presbyterian Church by Rev. Gary Huffman. There will be a time of fellowship at Stoner Creek Country Club immediately following the service. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
