Wilma Jean Sargent, 72, widow of Ronald Thomas Sargent, died Monday, December 28, 2009 at St. Joseph East Hospital. She was born January 8, 1937 in Estill County, daughter of the late George and Gracie Neal Tipton. Jean is survived by a son, Tommy (Lana) Sargent; a daughter, Rhonda (Harry) McKee, both of Paris; six grandchildren, Christy Sargent, Thomas Sargent, Ashley McKee, Tabitha McKee, Kaitlyn Burden, Landon Davis; three great grandchildren, C.J. Fryman, Roger Sargent, Brooklyn Sargent; four sisters, Mollie Jones, Faye Terrell, Ailene Creech, Ann Edwards; three brothers, Earl (Allenna) Tipton, William (Dolly) Tipton, Burton (Bonnie) Tipton; three brothers-in-law, Roger and Shirley Sargent, Harry Sargent, Bobby Sargent; and four sisters-in-law, Patsy Cook, Wanda Curtis, Brenda and Vernon Holbrook, and Alice and Billy Smith. A son, Donald Sargent, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Sam King with burial in the Paris Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
