Visitation
Visitation
Visitation is a time when friends have an opportunity to visit with the family. Your friends will want to take this chance to reach out to you to offer their condolences. They may or may not know the deceased and may know only one member of the family but they like having the opportunity to personally show their concern.
You may wish to display photographs and mementos during visitation. Many have us create a memorial video tribute that plays on large screen TVs during the visitation.
Typically the immediate family will arrive around an hour before the published visitation time for a period of private family time. During this time we will be available to attend to anything that needs to be addressed before your guest begin to arrive.
This is probably not the time to wear uncomfortable shoes as you may be on your feet for an extended time. We do have tall padded stools to help anyone needing to sit as they welcome friends.
