Rosa Bell Smith, 86, widow of Kenneth J. Smith, died Saturday, October 5, 2013 at her home. She was born April 14, 1927 in Huntington, West Virginia, daughter of the late Tom Henry and Oma Parks Smith and was a member of the Baptist faith. Rosa was a homemaker who loved quilting, her animals, and gardening. She is survived by five daughters, Anna (Gary) Roberts, Arkansas, Cathy Coffey, Cynthiana, Oma (James) Ballard, Paris, Barbara (Carl) Kinne, Paris, Eleanora (James) Hixon, Frankfort; two sons, Kenneth J. Smith, Jr., Alabama, Roger (Donna) Smith, Cynthiana; two sisters, Julie Bowling, Helen Wright, both of Ohio; 23 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren; and several great, great grandchildren. Rosa was preceded in death by a son, William Eugene Smith; daughter, Betty Louise Smith; and a grandson, Joe Frank Banks. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 10, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with burial in the Elijah Smith Cemetery in West Liberty. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
